then why were their dozen or so candidates of their candidates all white men?

Isn't this just more of do as I say, not as I do? Don't talk about Obama or the Democrats here, just answer the question honestly.

  1. anyone can run for president and no women happened to run on the republican ticket.

  2. We have had credible women candidates in the past, and will again in the future.  Including Sarah Palin.  After 8 years as VP, she has a real shot at being elected President.

Further, whether it is her or someone else, you can bet on the first Woman President being a Republican.  Ditto for the first Black President.  Might even be the same person.

Remember, our history of nominating Women goes back to Margaret Chase Smith in 1964.  You guys just got your first.

yvesu:  THAT I would like to see.  How do they hold the pencil for write-ins?

  3. FOR THE LAST TIME...

She has been selected to be the running mate for VP.

SHE IS NOT RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT!

If Dems are so for equal pay and equal work, why was Hillary, or Pelosi or Boxer NOT EVEN CONSIDERED?

  4. Sorry, but you have it mixed up. Individuals decide to run for the presidency; people pick and choose from those who decide to run. Hillary is the only woman who chose to run.

Me, I would gladly have voted for Condy.

  5. I'm just upset they didn't pick Condoleeza.  In any case, I do vote with my ovaries, so Palin it is.

  6. Um, they were considering other women as well as as the guy above said, they were not all white.  Why would that matter anyway?  Your question sounds racist.

  7. It isn't that we want a woman.  We want someone who will make a difference, and has the same political view as us.

  8. At least the Democrats had a woman who ran for president and not his mannequin

  9. They weren't all white, and if Obama is really for change why did he pick an old white man for VP?

  10. I'm happy with McCain/Palin.  I am so fired up.  She's a go getter and a fighter.  And not a Washington insider.

  11. *talks incessantly about Obama and the Democrats here since that is what the poster of this question really wants*

Get over yourself.  In order to have a candidate, one must run.  They aren't chosen by the Gods.  Of course, that's what you Democraps think...since your Obama is the ******* Messiah.  If a woman wants to be President, all she has to do is run.  It's up to the voters to decide.  And from what I have read in these forums so far, it seems that the majority of Democraps posting on YA are male chauvinist pigs.

  12. Saying that we DID or DIDN'T want a WOMAN...  means that we would/wouldn't vote for some one strictly on their GENDER..... and that is not only WRONG, it is STUPID.... just like the blacks voting for Obama simply because he's black.

McCain found the candidate that he thought would be best, and now that I'm learning about her, I think he made a great choice.

    GOVERNOR - (Executive experience)

    Pro-Gun

    Pro-Life

    Conservative

FIGHTS wasteful Spending, even against her own party

    She's a WONDERFUL choice.

  13. Well she must have been a serious candidate in the first place or you wouldn't be hear posting this question .

  14. i think that it is because 4 300 yrs its been white men running and people r scared 2 b different. that y i like the democratic party people r starting 2 break free of that stuff in that party. but that doesnt mean that the republicans cant change

  15. Why didn't Obama select Hillary?

Are the Obama supporters afraid the moderate end of your party is going to vote McCain now, that we see McCain is open-minded enough to select a young woman for his VP? Maybe more open-minded than Obama is?

Well Obama has everything to worry about now, because many of us Hillary supporters are definitely going to support McCain and Palin this year.
