then why were their dozen or so candidates of their candidates all white men?

Isn't this just more of do as I say, not as I do? Don't talk about Obama or the Democrats here, just answer the question honestly.

We have had credible women candidates in the past, and will again in the future.  Including Sarah Palin.  After 8 years as VP, she has a real shot at being elected President.

Further, whether it is her or someone else, you can bet on the first Woman President being a Republican.  Ditto for the first Black President.  Might even be the same person.

Remember, our history of nominating Women goes back to Margaret Chase Smith in 1964.  You guys just got your first.

Saying that we DID or DIDN'T want a WOMAN...  means that we would/wouldn't vote for some one strictly on their GENDER..... and that is not only WRONG, it is STUPID.... just like the blacks voting for Obama simply because he's black.

McCain found the candidate that he thought would be best, and now that I'm learning about her, I think he made a great choice.

Are the Obama supporters afraid the moderate end of your party is going to vote McCain now, that we see McCain is open-minded enough to select a young woman for his VP? Maybe more open-minded than Obama is?
