Yes, she has beat Serena before.  It may have been Venus.  Just this year.  Anyway it was one of them.

Its definitely looking like a Safina vs Dementieva rematch approaching.

While I want Serena more so to win, I think Venus will beat lil sis, and lose to Safina in the semis. As well as Venus looks and is playing, that forehand agianst the bigger players, often catches up to her and commits way too many errors. Against the lesser players she can rebound and get away with it, but not the top 10. I think Elena is on her way to getting her first slam, finally.
