Ganguly Says, India won the 2 finals against australia in the CB Series, because of Sachins out standing batting, and it 80% down to sachin that india won the series.

However Dhoni said, it was team effort, and said it was a young side that won, not once mentioning Sachins name.

Mark Waugh also said, Sachin is the ultimate cricketer, and said indias One Day side is nothing without Sachin Tendulkar. Is this true?

  1. Absolutely. They won whenever Sachin scored well and consolidated a win.

We all felt the need of Seniors when wickets crumbled in Pakistan and Dhoni lost.

Not only Sachin. You need him and/or any Senior with enough experience. So that when youngsters flounder, they lend support.

Dhoni is entitled to his view and we ours.

Even Commentators said what Ganguly did.

  2. Ganguly is right..India won bcoz of Sachin.

  3. No, its just hype

india could have won without sachin

indias batting is strong even without sachin

india s bowling clicked in the cb series thats y they won  not becuz of sachins batting

  4. Sachin never fails miserably for one thing but his presence alone gives an assurance that you're never out of the game at any point. To me having Sachin in the team means while your opponents are trying to find out ways to deal with Sachin, your other batsmen do all the damage that your opponents are worried about. Those who know cricket never discount Sachin and what Dhoni is saying is nothing more than a kid running his mouth a way too much that no one should pay much attention to.

  5. nooooooooooooo

  6. absolutely, Sachin Tendulkar is the god of cricket, India is a depleted side without the little master!

    god bless!

thanks for asking such an excellent question !

  7. Every player had a role in it. The player of the tournament was certainly Dhoni as per me. My evaluation of the performances is as under: (matches / batting points per match / bowling points per match / fielding points per match / overall points per match).

    1. Dhoni (10/86.4/0/100/100)

    2. Gautam Gambhir (10/100/0/4.8/99.4)

    3. Tendulkar (10/89.1/0.3/9.5/89.5)

    4. Praveen Kumar (4/8.1/100/23.8/80.8)

    5. Irfan Pathan (10/28.2/45.1/4.8/59.8)

    6. Rohit Sharma (10/54.6/0.1/23.8/57.5)

    7. Yuvraj Singh (9/49.4/6.8/10.6/55)

    8. Ishant Sharma (9/2.5/62.6/10.6/47.4)

    9. Virender Sehwag (5/35.6/9.5/9.5/43.1)

    10. Harbhajan Singh (10/14.2/35.6/4.8/39.4)

    11. Robin Uthappa (10/33/0/19/35.4)

    12. Piyush Chawla (2/5.7/10.5/71.4/23.4)

    13. Munaf Patel (3/0/33.1/0/22.9)

    14. Manoj Tiwary (1/4.4/0/0/4.3)

From the above, you can see that the youngsters really contributed hugely for the success. Sachin's contributions were of course vital and I believe that without Sachin, they would not have won the tournament.

  8. no because tendulkar top scored in all the important games and wihtout him india would have been ******

  9. Surely they will going to final.

But very tough call in 2 or 3 finals if there is no GREAT SACHIN.

  10. Sure y not???

Dint we win the t20 world cup in South Africa.

We dint have Sachin Sourav and Dravid

Of course we can....Its just a psychological feeling many Indians have

  11. sure.

  12. Sachin Tendulkar's knock came in the right time and India won the CB series. But, not to forget Praveen Kumar's superb bowling! He was the man of the match in both the finals. And Rohit Sharma's knock was also equally important! Overall it was a team effort! Dhoni gave credit to Sachin, he said to the reporters when asked about Sachin's knock that "When he (sachin) plays, then nobody else can play" (it was in telegraph, i don't remember the edition though!). Dhoni gave equal importance to both Sachin and his young team-mates!

EDIT - I won't say that India is nothing without Sachin but yes sachin is truly a legend and he is one of my favs! He is the master blaster and the pride of India!

  13. Well to be honest, if Ian Bell played for India they clearly would have won every game in Australia!  :)

  14. no
