It's a silly question. I don't care whether you're a stranger to a person or their closest relative, you can not control their actions in this regard. People will say it reflects badly on the parental skills of Ms Palin, but...a 17 year old having s*x? It's hardly 'stop the presses' time now is it?

NOBODY can CONTROL their kids as soon as they have reached a certain age (some sooner, some later). "Kids" become adults, capable of independent thought and then they often do what they WANT, not what their parents want them to do.

Every other scenario is wishful thinking!

Can you control your children?  Millions of people cannot.  Why do you think she should?  Being in government has nothing to do with the job of controlling the people in your home.  I recall many, both Democrats  and Republicans that have had problems in their families.  Oh well, all of the US and people of the world do.  I don't think it should be considered in a JOB.

get it straight..Obama wants to CONTROL the country, Mccain/palin will LEAD the country.....you can't control teens unless you lock them up and that is illegal.

as a parent it is not as easy as you think to control kids, I remember doing things worse then what my kids are doing now to me and I remember my mother dealing with me then...
