John McCain also called his wife cindy a "c unt"

No.  He already had a choice of Hutchison, among others.  But Hutchison is kind of homely ... maybe a LOT homely.

McCain wanted to feed the media a home run of fresh, new, exciting, and good looking.  And he did.

And get the attention of the campaign off the fact he is 72 years old.  Someway, anyway possible.

As long as the election is about Obama and not McCain, McCain does well.

Not sure...but if she had the heart, or should I say dark heart of  Janet Waco Reno, the warped view of law enforcement...I would hope he would run in the other direction...

Nixon was the last ugly president why do you think people worry so much about suits and colors. It's all image.

I think she's pretty and I like her political stances, most of the right will concur. She attacks the right if they are wrong and has gone after overspending in a ravenous manner.

No. The republicans are very clever and very politically savy in that they know what type of voters make up their base, and what pleases them. In this case, they've chosen a more or less attractive woman who apparently likes to fire off big weapons and quote the bible. Many will simply accept her just because, without any thought over the matter. I often wonder what would've happened had they chosen Condoleza Rice, who would've been at least 1000 times more qualified for the position than Palin.

If Palin looked like Reno would she have become city council member, mayor, governer?  Only if she were qualified.  So, if she is qualified to be those I guess she is qualified to be VP.
