The true test of whether or not a VP choice is sound is whether or not the VP candidate would actually make a good President. Keep in mind that McCain is very old, and that the Presidency has a tendency to really age a person very quickly because of all the stresses involved. So if McCain is elected President, you have to seriously consider that Palin might have to serve out his term. Would she be an effective President in the way that Joe Biden would? Why would Palin make a good President if you say you would vote for her? Why would Palin not be a good President if you say you would not vote for her?

  1. Absolutely not.  most of us never heard of her till yesterday.  h**l, mccain only met her once before this week.  hes using her.  and she hasnt done anything with her political career.  but i am also opposed to all the ideas and proposals set forth by the republican party and would have no faith n john mccain even if he did have the same ideas as me.  obama and biden.

  2. Oh no, no, no, no, no.......

  3. I wish she was on top of the ticket now, she is more conservative than McCain, has executive experience and has not been aroung the viper pit of Washington. She will be President one day and I am looking forward to it.

  4. Because she is not Barack Obama, the same reason I'm voting for McCain.

  5. Yes I would

    Pro-life

    Pro-self defense

    Pro-business

    Pro-America

  6. Probably not.

  7. With Obama as her opposition?  You betcha, it would be a no brainer.  She stands for America.  Obama stands for Socialism and said in his book he would stand with the Muslims should the political winds change.  He had to be prodded to salute our flag during the playing of our National Anthem, after he refused to do it the first time.  He made disparaging remarks about wearing the US Flag lapel pin as a sign of patriotism.  He belonged to an America hating church listening to a Racist preacher for 20 years.  Claims terrorists as his friends and makes excuses for them(Ayers and Dorhn).  Negotiates with criminals(Tony Rezko)for influence peddling and campaign contributions.  YEP, Palin running agains Obama would clearly be a NO BRAINER!

  8. Yes,

She took on the corrupt republican establishment in her state and won. She has an 80% approval record.

I heard that she taxed the oil companies in Alaska and gave every man, woman and child a $1200 tax rebate. She is doing such a good job as Governor that the state has a surplus which she returned to the people of Alaska.

She hunts moose and baits her own hook.

She's a life long NRA member. She's all that!

  9. h**l no.

A two term governor of a state far removed from the rest. If she were in any other "business" would someone who manages things be promoted to VP of the company, I think not. Biden however has been with the "company" for a very long time and knows the ropes.

Besides, she's one of those brainwashed women who'd gladly take her own gender's rights away.

  10. Yes I would vote for her with the information I have now.  But time may tell a different story.  Her story right now is very compelling.  We need to get the crooks out of Washington, she has done that in Alaska.  We need someone who will tells us the way things are and not make up their version  of the truth, she has done that in Alaska. She has lived life as an average American so she knows the problems we have and the battles we fight every day.  When is the last time you could say that about the candidate for President or VP.

  11. She's anti-abortion, anti-g*y marriage, under investigation and pro-gun without a clue as to how to get something done in Washington. I wouldn't vote for her at all.

  12. Thanks, but no thanks!   She was formerly the Mayor of a small town in Alaska. Alaska is a rustic land with a sparse population. It's cities are like towns, its small towns rarely over five or ten thousand people. It has more bears than people or it used to, before Global Warming appeared.  Sarah Palin probably couldn't find Afghanistan on a map.  She's the mother of five children.  I thought Republicans believed in mothers staying home with their broods and raising them right?

Republicans are a hoot. They believe in something until it becomes expedient not to believe in it.  They lambaste Hollywood as filled with liberal sinners, then elect Ronald Reagan and Arnold. They believe in women being homebodies, then here comes Sarah Palin.  They criticize Obama for "lack of experience," then rave over Palin, who has no experience at all in National Politics.  Since McCain doesn't know Japan from China either, we would be in a fine fix if either made it in this election.

I would never vote for Sarah Palin, and she will never become President, because Barack Obama will fill that post very nicely.

  13. Would you vote for Old White Man No Job Joe Biden? Keep in mind that No Job Joe just ran for president and got < 1% of the vote.

  14. ****Palin would not make a good President at all. She is already involved in a scandal TOO close to Nov. This would be a 'Katrina' if McCain became Pres and died and America would be under the influence of someone who McCain doesnt even know.

  15. The only thing that really matters is that she is as qualified as Obama.  If Obama is qualified to be President, then she is over qualified for the position of VP

  16. Good God NO!  First off I don't agree with many of her positions.  I can never understand any woman that believes the government should legislate my ovaries.

After that - she has 1 1/2 yrs of experience - 5 children (including one that truly needs his mom) - and absolutely not one wink of foreign policy experience.  Can you imagine her at the table with Putin or any leader?

Biden is ready to lead at any point that he might be needed - I would completely trust him as Commander in Chief.  I have no idea why ANYONE would say they would trust this woman.  She may be a bright political star, I have no issue with that - however she is no way ready after running a state the size of Austin for 1 1/2 yrs.

I know you will get all kinds of answers but I truly believe if any of the Republicans sat down and really asked themselves if they think she is ready to have her hand on the red phone, if they were honest, they would say NO.

  17. yes I would vote for her in a minute. Hillary sucked when BIll was in the white house and he gave her the health care project. But Palin has turned around Alaska and I think she can help John do the same, and should something happen to him I think she could lead us to greatness.
