If Satanist don't believe in God..?

Question

..why do they worship Satan (which is a Christian belief) and why do they call themselves Satanists?

And to those Satanists who deny they worship Satan,why do they call themselves a Satanist then?

Luciferism is the religion where people believe in satan/lucifer as their god.  the msot common form of satanism is called laveyan satanism, which actually has nothing to do with satan, the name is merely an oposal to christianity.

the reason it was created was because anton lavey saw so much corruption in christianity that he decided to create his own realistic relgion, which noadays alot of people follow, sadly he didnt follow it himself.

Anton LeVay, the originator of the Church of Satan did it simply for marketing purposes. It was to garner attention and to make money. By giving themselves church status, they reap the same tax free benefits as other churches. LeVayan Satanists have no belief in satan.

LeVayen Satanists do not worship Satan, or even believe he exists. It's an atheistic religion. Satan is merely a symbol to them, so that's why they use the term.

I think you mean LaVey satanists.  They don't literally believe in Satan, they mostly use the name to p**s off Christians.
