(This question is a repost because "smart-a$$es" just replying. "stupid trade" or "kobe is g*y" junks.)

Dont you guys think that MIA and PHO are better of if the trade between marion and Shaq never happened?

Look at this lineup for the Heat:

C - Shaquille O'Neal / Alonzo Mourning

PF - Udonis Haslem / Marc Blount

SF - Michael Beasley / Dorell Wright

SG - Dwayne Wade / Daequan Cook

PG - Jason Williams / Mario Chalmers / Chris Quinn

For Phoenix, they can once again run and have a backup PG for Nash. They still need another center in there, but at least they know who they are and what's their direction.

Now I know that there were things said, baby-crying, dont like this person, doesnt like him back things. I am not asking about personalities, this is a basketball question, so hopefully I get basketball answers too.

  1. the heat are trying to use beasley as a pf instead anyway. shaq and wade being next to beasley would help beasley a lot.  in sense i think it wouldve been better for the heat, but shaq gave up in miami.  who knows how healthy he wouldve been had he stayed there, since the suns medical staff seem to be a bit better.  theyve done some great things with amare, hill, nash, and now oneal.

i dont think it helps the suns though, they can run and gun but amare would still have to play center and would have to guard the opposing centers.  it would be extremely tough for them to compete in the playoffs in the west, where the game slows down and has more focus inside the paint.

  2. I think miami gotten less popular cuz every 1 knows shaq evan if you dont watch basketball but shaq doesnt f**t in with the suns

  3. Dantoni would still be in the Valley.

Suns will not win 50 games next year.

  4. Nope! Still doesn't help Phoenix out becuase they still do not play defense. At least Shaq can clog up the middle and get a few blocked shots. It also takes off the pressure from Amare as being the go to offensive player and defensive player in the pain. Amare is known for making foolish fouls and being on the bench during critical times during games.

  5. yes. for the suns, shaq kind of ruined their offence because he cant run. for the heat, they wont have a true center this year because alonzo mourning is injured.

  6. I love the Suns and hate Shaq!  Mostly, I wish it never would have happened.   It was awsome to watch thier fast paced games and Shaq has really slowed them up.  Marion got what he wanted though.  He wanted to be traded since the start of the season.

  7. Phoenix did not fail to make it to the finals because of Shaq.  They failed because they could keep their heads in the game.  In the series against the Spurs, they gave up after the first half or the 3rd quarter, and even though they would lead by 20 points or better, still manage to give up the game.  Shaq added a defensive presence to the team that it never had with marion and also took care of the personnell issues besides.  I think he could have performed better, but i don't think that the trade was a bad thing for the suns.

  8. the suns were absolute idiots for making that trade.  they traded their third best player and possibly their best defensive player for an aging center who just came off from an injury

  9. no only cause even though shaq is still a force & puts up good numbers, he is old & definitely creates a liability for his team at this point in his career, he cant play the same amount of minutes, still throws bricks & is just limited in what he can do, in marion you have a completely different kind of player but hes younger, more minutes & less salary, so i think it was good for Miami, thats a h**l of a starting core, wade, beasly & marion.

  10. I agree with you the Suns would have been in the Finals.
