Bruce Lee did not endorse 'competition'.  Essentially, there is no such thing as a dirty fight if you sum up his principles ergo he disregards what you say he can and can't do in a fight...  

Shaq taking on Bruce Lee one-on-one (keeping in mind that Bruce Lee is perfectly ok with biting, gouging eyes, rupturing eardrums, groin kicking and any other attack that is going to disable you in addition to spending at least as much time training to fight as Shaq does playing basketball) and surviving means that Shaq killed Bruce Lee but paid dearly ending up maimed.  That is my humble prediction.  Bruce Lee is quoted as saying something along the lines of 'I've already made up my mind, Baby, if you're going to fight me you'd better kill me, cause I'm gonna keep on coming.'

Don't you all know that Lee trained the Shaq of his time, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar?

They did spar often and Bruce always won.

You can see them fight on film in the movie "Game of Death".

If Shaq hit Bruce, Bruce would probably be ko'd, but I don't think Shaq could hit him.

I believe Shaq would beat Bruce Lee. Bruce Lee could beat most opponents, but the size, strength, and reach difference that Shaq has on Bruce Lee would be too great for Bruce to compensate for. Bruce Lee's only chance would be to close the distance and grapple with Shaq, and Bruce was adept, but not exceptional at grappling.  Bruce could not take the punishment that Shaq can dish out. It's a sad reality, but sometimes size and strength conquer everything else.

I once saw Shaq throw a punch at someone in a game... not very impressed it took a while to get there so even though the other center was not to far from him he did mis.. So how in the world would he hit a lightning quick Bruce Lee?

Plus Lee may have been little but he was powerful! I think he probably sticks and moves and sooner or later he lands a powerful kick to Shaqs stomach that brings the big man down to his size.. and then he throws a 15 punch combo and lays him out..

******* a perfect example happened not to long ago when the huge Jose Canseco recently tried boxing a guy who had ameuture experience.. Even though he was 7 inches taller and weighed around 40 lbs more he got knocked out by the guy who kNEW what he was doing in one round!! Seriously size can only do so much if you don't know how to use it and Bruce Lee was WAY ahead of his time.. He knew boxing, kickboxing, wrestling, savate, among others!! If that does not tell you he knew the fight game nothing will!!

Lee could send a kicking bag flying (3 or 4 meters back ) without much of an effort, by simply kicking it without run up ..... can u imagine what would happen if landed one of his kicks on shaqs knees .........
