If Shawn had gone last...?

the commentators say that being first is a disadvantage... so... if she had gone last, what do you think would have happened?

If she did a good routine and got a good score (16 or higher), she would have been a gold medalist.

It seems like people think Shawn is the best thing around... she didnt even win a gold medal... to be honest she should have got bronze nastia should have won silver but the gold medal winner was definately alot better... what makes u think that shawn would have done any better going last because performing first she would have her mind set to do the best she can to keep the lead  and going last has all the pressure to not make mistakes like other girls etc...

I honestly think that she would have lost it under pressure... it depends what mentally pressure she had going.

She didn't go last because her qualitification score was lower. So it was fair.

She probably would have added mid routine and increased her start value which may or may not have been enough to get her the gold.

Shawn's routine was very good, but the Gold medal winner was better.  So I don't think her going first, last or in the middle would have made any difference.

That's one of those "if" questions that can go either way. Going last means you would know what you have to do in oder to score higher. Thus, adjusting difficulty level etc...

That is problem with having human judges instead of electronic like in swimming and track. I thought Shawn was going to get a higher score, she did great.  I agree with the commentators it is a disadvantage to go first.
