WHAT ARE U THINKIN?Surgery is ur best option and if u have it now u might come back  if the Chargers make the post season.U should of gotten ur surgery back in Feburary now u have to wait and maybe jepordise ur carrer for LIGAMENTS.

I blame A J Smith.  Merriman is in a contract year and is worried about losing a lot of money if he does not play.  A J should increase his salary and extend him contingent on his getting the surgery and protecting his career.

surgery. im from SD ive watched em for nearly 13 years and ive seen the depth they have at LB and a season is way worth being lost over an entire career.besides we have so much talent on our defense that it would be a loss and all but we wouldnt be totally screwed

I'd say get the surgery. But I'm Broncos fan. So I hate the Raiders and the Chargers. I can't wait for this season to begin so the Broncos can clean the floor with both of you.

Tell him to get the surgery. I know SD was almost SB bound and he feels in his heart this is their yr but he needs to get his knee taken care of. Dont waste your entire career on just this one season.. youre a future HOF and youre still young..
