If Steve Yzerman Ran for political office?

would you vote for him? ... especially if he ran for governor of michigan... it can't get much worse can it?!

Sorry but Stevee Y is a Canuck.  Born and raised in Canada.  Although he played his entire NHL career with Detroit, I don't think he ever took out US citizenship.  He was GM of Team Canada for the 2007 Int'l Ice Hockey Championships.  He also played for the Canadian Olympic team in the 2002 winter games.  Not eligible for public office.

Interestingly, the current Governor of Michigan, Jennifer Granholm, is originally from Vancouver, British Columbia.  Given Michigan's current economic woes, you might reconsider putting another ex-pat Canadian in office.

I love this question and yes, I would probably vote for him.  After being captain of the Wings for 20 years, he definitely has leadership experience and with the way Michigan's government and economy is going, he definitely can't do any worse than Jennifer Granholm (or Kwame for that matter!).

Depends what He ran for. Unless it was the PREZ, I dont think I could vote for him in INDIANA for a Michigan office. Still, I would have to weigh his platform and reforms and make judgement based on that.
