Shouldn't he be like on the 180 day DL? What are the rules with the DL?

  1. He was originally placed on the 15 Day DL when the extent of the injury wasn't ful known. They can transfer him to the 60day DL at any time

  2. i think the max is 60 days DL.

Coaches can extend the DL anyway. So when 15 days is up, Bobby will just extend it again until he feels bored.

Not much of rules and no one really cared. Especially for the Braves this year.

  3. Players are initially placed on the 15 Day DL during the season.  By placing the player on the 60 Day DL it opens up a slot on the 40-man Major League Roster.  The 40-man Major League Roster includes the 25 on the active roster and up to 15 that are assigned to teams in the minor leagues.

Each team is limited to the number of players on the 15 Day DL, there is not a limit to the number on the 60 Day DL.  When the Braves need to make room on the 40-man roster, they will move Hudson to the 60 day DL.
