If Tony Stewart leaves JGR to drive for JR Motorsports next year in the Sprint Cup series...?

How do you think it will change the relationship between Tony, Denny, and Kyle? Will they become on-the-track rivals?

And How do you think it will change the relationship between the wonder-team over @ HMS adding basically another 2 cars including Stewart (He'd run JR Motorsports cars, made by Hendrick, w/ Hendrick motors)..

This will be a sad move in my books. I'd love to see Tony retire and go run Indy again. (not because im not a fan, but i think it'd respark the IRL series)

  1. I think Stewart will stay with Joe Gibbs, he will get a big fat contract extension soon enough but I just think he is doing this to get his new BIGGER contract............Joe Gibbs is to good of a boss to work for; why leave a good thing?

The only reason he MIGHT leave is to get back into a Chevrolet but the way they are improving, he might be stepping backwards.

  2. okay first of all jr motorsports is nationwide series only!!!!!!!!!!!!  and yes, it is a 75% possibility that he will drive for hms next year.......EVERYONE IS TONY ON TRACK RIVALS!

why do you think he got mad at denny last year when he won before he did! also tony don't have to prove nada he is the best driver in the nascar circuit today! he smart athletic, sweet and aggressive my three things i love about my man!

  3. I don't really think Tony is leaving the Coach and besides if he does he could form his own race team.  I don't know that that would be best for Tony.

  4. Hard for me to answer this one....I didn't want JGR to change to Toyota in the first place, I didn't think it would work out, I was wrong. The Toyotas have been kicking tail.  I hope that he will make a good move, I would rather see him go to RCR and run a team w/ Kevin Harvick, but, no one has been talking about that.  As far as the relationship w/ Denny and Kyle, I don't think that really existed in the first place....maybe it did for the public eye, but, I don't think they really got along anyway.  Especially w/ Kyle.

I know Tony wants to get back into a Chevy, I just hope that he makes the right move, the guy's no dummy, so I'll just wait.

In the meantime I just wish he'd win a darn race!!!

  5. I think there is a fine line with team mates in Nascar.  I think they help each other drafting & maybe a little blocking but guys like Stewart, Hamlin, & Busch are out there to win.  That team mate stuff goes out the window when it gets down to the finish.

JGR has the dream team if you ask me.  Just compare the money won & point standings of the Hendrick drivers & JGR's drivers.  I'm sure JGR is going to try & do everything they can to keep Stewart becasue if they add Joey Logano as the 4th team member & he has the talent that everyone says he does - WOW - really look out for JGR!

  6. Don't know if it will happen, but I could see Stewart possibly gaining control of Haas Motorsports and teaming up with the Hendrick/JR motorsports teams working together with Dale and company. I don't think it will affect Tony's relationship with Busch and Hamlin. They don't seem to work together all that much anyway. I doubt you'd ever see Stewart as a driver in an Indycar ever again, age and weight being big factors with that, but Marty Roth is a 49 year old Indy driver, so it's not off the table. I think Stewart needs to shed a few pounds to comfortably fit back in an indycar again. I could see Tony owning an IRL car on down the road, though.

  7. Tony's contract goes through 2009. I believe he will honor that.
