  1. lewis and holyfield both beat tyson 8 times out of 10, no matter what......who know's what woulda happened vs. riddick,  he was  just too short and lacked reach

  2. Take that ***** Robin Givens out of it too and I would say its a definite maybe.

Cus D'amato or Kevin Rooney either one could have kept Tyson together long enough to dominate the Heavyweight division alot longer. Unfortunately Cus died and Tyson / Don King fired Rooney.

He would definetly have beaten Holyfield, not sure about Lewis though especially after Emanuel Stewart became his trainer. Tyson would have beaten the Lewis that lost to Rahman, but that was pre-Stewart.

  3. He ducked Holyfield through the ENTIRE LATE 80'S when he HAD Kevin Rooney training him AND Bill Caton managing him. In fact Evander Holyfield was the Universally recognized Ring Magazine's number 1 contender for 2 years out of Mike Tyson's 3 year title reign. Tyson and his handlers wanted NO PART of the "Real Deal"!

And most of Tyson's ducking of Evander Holyfield was when Tyson STILL WAS TRAINED by Kevin Rooney, and BEFORE Don King ever even came along!

In short Holyfield would beat Tyson any time, any place, under any circumstance! END OF STORY!

  4. Nope.

  5. Unlikely. Subtract all of the things you mentioned, and Tyson was still a ticking time bomb. Had he not lost to Holyfield, he would have had a lost to Lennox Lewis or one of the Klitschko brothers. Once the perception of invicibilty was gone, and the blueprint for beating Iron Mike was established, more loses would have followed.

  6. He would have done better:however, his flaws as a person were bound to catch up on him. His constitution as a person was flawed  and without addressing it in a commited manner, well , he showed US the inevitable quick, fast, and in a hurry.  Hello, dollbaby!  Thumbs Up No Matter What U Say!

  7. well....i can say this.....if he had actually trained instead of sleeping with prostitutes he would not have lost against buster douglas, that's for sure. He would have faced Holyfield shortly after and it would have been a very tough fight for mike simply because holyfield had a lot of heart and could be quite a dirty fighter, the fight would have gone the distance but i think mike could earn a decision here (when they actually met mike's skill had begun to deteriorate, he had fired rooney and he stopped using constant head movement and thus he became more susceptibale to holyfield's headbutts)....he would have been shocked however to see that holyfield would have given him the toughest fight of his career, i think he could handle bowe depending on what state o mind bowe is in at the time, mike could have been champion at least until 1998 and then he could have retired and called it a day, unfortuantely he was never intelligent enough to handle his own talent and he ended up becoming a cautionary tale instead of achieving the great desitny that d'amato had envisoned for him.

  8. Possibly, but he has a few screws loose,so it would really depend on how he managed his temper.

  9. i believe that holyfield had his number, wheather it be in '90 or '96, and lewis could have beaten him if he'd be able to keep it at long range.

  10. if tyson had stuck with his d mato trainors his career would of been longer i think he did have great skills speed power and stamina in his prime look at him prior to when don king got his hands on him he was unbelievable he could of been the top 3 best ever i think out of the two guys your talking about i think they both would of lost to a prime tyson i think holyfield would of been a much better fight for a prime tyson might of even gone the distance but i think mike would of won as far as lewis im not going to rag on him like i have been ill respect your beliefs on how good he was whether i think he was overated or not thats my opinion i personally think tyson would of kod him pretty quick but lets say lewis gave a prime tyson a good fight and took him the distance i think tyson would of went to work on lewis s body and lewis would of been weary by the end of the fight tyson in those days could be effective from the first to final bell and tysons power to the body would of hurt anybody at one time i pick if it went the distance i still think tyson would win on points he was different in his early days

  11. I think the answer is an easy No..  Even taking these things into account, Tyson also had a major spending problem.  I think if he was mentally stable, he could've beaten Holyfield, Lewis, Foreman and even a young Bowe..  Tysons spending problem would've had him fighting into his later years (much like Holyfield) and eventually it would've caught up with him and he would've taken some heavy losses later in his career.

Ya can't always blame Don King for Tyson's financial woes when at one point you have 2 pet tigers which run about 5k a day to take care of.  Some fighters spend money faster than they earn it.  Unfortuantely, Tyson was one of them.
