Question:

If Uranus is tilted because of a collision, does its axis precess?

A question was just asked about Uranus' tilt. It has been supposed that it was hit by something to cause this extreme polar tilt. But I think that would imply that it should have significant precession. Does anyone know if any precession has been detected?

  1. Yes, there is an interaction between Uranus and its satellites that causes precession.

Sorry for the really technical reference listed below, it's the only online reference I could readily find.
