If Verizon has bought Alltel, why do they continue to make Alltel commercials with Verizon on the bad side?

Don't get me wrong...I'm not a big fan of Verizon, but the fact is that they bought Alltel. So, why are there still commercials with Chad from Alltel promoting Alltel and the Verizon guy is separate. In fact, in the most recent one they compare their plans against each other to show that Alltel is better.

  1. MONEY, Alltel has very good name recognition and there are a significant number of people who follow the ads. I do not know why but It is so and they will spend enough $$$$ to make it worth while to keep the ads. Simple as that!


  2. The deal expects to be completed by 2009. At that time, you wont see those commercials anymore.
