  1. can't be done!  musicians today are different.  The music is different and the people are different.  Have you watched CMT lately?  "country" music is full of electric guitars and explosions.  It doesn't even sound country anymore!  It would have to be like Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, George Strait and maybe Tim McGraw or something.  The newest country music artists can't hold a candle to the Highwaymen!  Not that I don't still like most country music, it's just not the same as the classics (of course what is?).  My times have changed!

EDIT:  You're right "Redneck"...Garth probably is too diva, Toby and Dierks would be great.  I was just trying to think of musicians with a longer music career history like the Highwaymen.  You gotta admit though, Tim has put out some great ballads!  What about Brad Paisley?

  2. Garth Brooks is too much of a diva to share attention with anyone so he would never do it.All Mcgraw can do these days is sing ballads that all sound the same.I'm leaving them out. Maybe  Toby,Dierks,Blake Shelton,Alan Jackson...And it's 2008 we need some hot chick back ground singers. That's where Leann Rimes, Lee Ann Womack and Sara Evans comes in (Even though something tells me those 3 would kill each other)

  3. No way can it be done, the originals were a hard act to follow, but maybe Alan Jackson, Travis Tritt, Marty Stuart and Mark Chestnut
