Question:

If Wendys doesnt freeze hamburgers, how do they keep?

They spend so much money to let everyone know that their burgers are never frozen. How does the food not go bad? And why is it such a big deal that the burgers aren't frozen? I thought everyone froze their food, their meat, especially. So what's going on, then? Does it really make a difference or is it just another stupid marketing tactic?

  1. They have refridgerated trucks bring them fresh meat everyday and then it is refridgerated to be used for that day or the following day.

  2. I work at wendys. After a business day, all the food unserved gets disposed.

  3. They get it fresh daily and refrigerate.

  4. Because they are not real burgers.  They are processed

burgers, full of chemicals.  Don't eat a Wendy's burger.

  5. Just to follow up on the fellow who worked at a Wendys, I had a friend who managed 2 in Canada, and I am a former chef and asked the same question of him, at one time each unit had a pattie making machine, you emptied in the gorund beef and it made there famous square patties, now for health reasons, as stated there supplys are brought in on a daily basis, plus with a pure beef burger pattie, not seasonings or filler, the meat does not breakdown as quick, salt and other fillers tend to go off or make the meat go off quicker, and from my source the leftover burgers were cooked and used to make th next days chili.

  6. It's another marketing tactic. Their just letting us know that if we want someting fresh why not go for something they just got not too long ago.

  7. I hate those commercials too. I guess if wendy's frosties were meant to be frozen those milk cows would have to live in Antarctica too???

I don't taste any difference between fresh or frozen hamburger, the only time you could tell is if it was prime beef, which is still pretty subtle and wendy's obviously does not have to worry about that.

There are so many monetary and safety benefits of freezing the meat that are passed on to the consumer.

-Freezing drastically cuts down the chance of spoiled meat (salt also preserves meat)

    -It cuts down on waste

    -Reduces distribution costs

-They could spend their advertising budget on something better

I think its stupid because if your that picky to choose your restaurant over fresh or frozen hamburger, you wouldn't be eating at a fast food place anyway.

  8. i used to be a manager at wendys. once a week we got a truck delivery. the meat is kept in the cooler. it isnt frozen. but i dont think it makes a big difference.

  9. The patties come directly from the cows body seconds before they hit the grill.

  10. in the refrigerator.

  11. well they are lieing to you because they cook it and then it becomes a HOT JUICY BURGER

  12. They serve rotting material. But it does taste swell.

  13. They get food refrigerated and keep it that way.......just like all restuarants do....unused food is diposed of at end of day
