  1. someone who's good at volleyball

  2. they are looking for someone who has good passes and can move to get to the ball. they will see how hard and accurate your serves are. they might also test you to see if you would be suited for a setter or a passer or a spikier it all depends on what you are strong in

  3. There looking for speed, skills, andjump. Most importantly an ahleteic girl

  4. Try to figure out what positions they desperately need a player in.

Say, if they lost their setter, tell them that you can set (only if you actually can though).

Be loud on the court and call the ball, this is a must.

Skill are important too, of course.

At tryouts, come early and stay after and offer to help set up/take down the net.

Introduce yourself personally to the coach.

  5. whenever trying out for anything especially volleyball show that your willing to throw your body around...no ball hits the floor and hopefully your skills make up for the rest

  6. What you want to do is just stay low, putting  your butt low to the ground. Put both of your hands in front of your relaxing them. They are looking for how good you serve. Just learn how to bump set and spike.

    Hope you make it  =)

  7. good spikes, severing, and sportsman ship. Take it from a person who knows

  8. A person who is willing to go shag balls or step into a pos. that u normal don't play, a person who will do anything the coach asks, someone who is quick, stays low to the ground, good defensive movements, someone who can get of the net to the 10 ft. line, someone with soft hands(my mom is a varsity coach ....if your willing to learn and try your hardest GOOD LUCK!!~ I  started playing volleyball when i was in 3rd grade, are team went to State last year and this year i was a starter just keep trying and DONT give up!!

  9. Consistency with the fundamentals, coachability, determination, motivation, and how well one works with a team.

  10. Someone who stays low.

-Quick on thier feet, stay on your toes

    -Athletic, physically can do it

-Knows their postions and other positions on the court.

-Someone who keeps the team spirt up.

    - Make sure you know and nail your aproach! It is key to a killer spike!!! LOL

    - Also your serves are pretty important. If you mess up on your serves they won't want you. Every serve counts!!!

If you win together, you lose together.

      GOOD LUCK and Have fun!!!!!

  11. they want someone who is versitile and can is good at any position.... good luck !!!

  12. Coaches not only love players with talent, but ones who can actually pass the ball consistently.  If you are able to have the basics down like getting the ball to the setter (or even being a setter for that matter) and being able to do outside hitting or middle hitting, you should do well.

    Good luck!

  13. A really high vertical jump helps out a lot.

  14. work on your aproach: you want to be able to feel comfortable with your spike but at the same time be able to be consistant and precise.

your passes: your legs shoulder length apart, with your main foot slightly in front of the other. shoulders relaxed, DO NOT SWING YOUR ARMS! use your shoulders and your legs to pop the ball up.

serves: if you wanna make varsity you HAVE to master over hand and jump serves. they should be consistant and over and in. also, spot serving is a must.

setting: its all in the legs.

they look for obidiance, physical and emotional streangth

keep the drama off the coart. and be able to manipulate it

    good luck!

  15. There are different roles on the volleyball team setter/spiker/blocker etc.  I would think that at the Varsity level, they are looking for someone with polished skills, team player mentality, and hustle.  They arent looking for potential at this level unless youre a freshman that has a future with the highschool volleyball team.

  16. good player who knows the basics and depending on the team/school how well you can play your position(s)

  17. skill
