  1. That depends on what State you are in.  I homeschooled my son in 10th and then he wanted to go back to school in 11th.  In TN they have special tests written for homeschoolers and they said he didn't pass it and they wanted to put him back.  Of course those tests were written to be very difficult. Then we moved to IL and they gave him the same tests that the other students had taken as finals in 10th and he passed with flying colors, so they put him right in where he belonged and he graduated on time with no problems.  Funny thing is that the IL school district he was admitted to at the correct grade level has a much higher rating than the TN school district that wanted to put him back, so it really has to do with attitude, not educational level of the school district.

  2. Once You Take A Test TO Confirm You Are Up To Speed Yes!

  3. no. i have the same exact problem. my step-mom called the state board of education or whatever and they told her that i would have to repeat my sophmore year, but that i would get 2 credits, but even with the 2 credits i couldnt become a junior.

(it could be different in your state though)

  4. Most home school mothers do not have a teaching degree, so as long as you test out at that level, you will have no problem entering that grade.

It may differ if your state is not home school friendly.

  5. Sure!

My mom doesn't have a teaching degree. She's been teaching kids for over twenty years, but she doesn't have an official degree. I went to public school for a semester my sophomore year, and it was all cool. Of course it MIGHT depend on the school, but I think they're all basically the same.

  6. I myself have never ever been home schooled, but I don't know of any reason why you wouldn't be able to pass from one grade to another.

  7. yes u can...

  8. It's up to your school - each school is allowed to set their own regs regarding this.  Schools are locally and state governed, so there is no one set rule.

Call your school, or have your mom do so, and see what they say.  The schools in our area simply test you, but there are tnes of thousands of homeschool families in our state.  In other schools, they simply say that you have to retake the grades "missed" (i.e., homeschooled) no matter what.

So the quick answer is...maybe.  The only way to know is to call the school and find out.

  9. you have to test into it

i was home schooled in 3rd grade, then i simply got tested into the 4th
