I am very very frightened of trying new foods and a few years ago I had an eating disorder and went anorexic, but even before then, I was very very fussy.

I have a banana and a yogurt for my breakfast

And EITHER Shepherds pie and potatoes

or chips and hot-dogs for my dinner

and the same for everyday of my life

I am 11 years old

5 ft

7 st

I usually eat loads an loads of fruit and I drink diluted juice, because I don't like water.

Do you have any suggestions for trying new foods?

Please, because my parents are gettin angry at me for not eating much

  1. i believe if you don't want to try it you shouldn't eat it only try it if you want to n tell your parents the problem tell them you need some advice so try that k hope this helps

  2. Try Pizza!!!

Pizza like Pizza Hut Super Supreme tastes good!

It has all of the food groups in it too!

    Grains - The crust

    Meat - Toppings

    Vegetables - Toppings

    Fruit - Tomato sauce

    Dairy - Cheese

    PIZZA! Possibly "Natures Perfect Food"

  3. Don't worry about your eating habits at this age. You seem to be healthy but with very set things you wish to eat. To eat smaller portions means you will stay slim without having to worry. Forcing yourself to eat foods just for the sake of eating them will never work and only make you hate them more. If you are bent on trying something new, find new ways to make old things. Like hot dogs in a tortilla roll instead of a bun. Simple ways to make complex changes.Good luck in whatever you decide to try.

  4. well you can either start to become a vegen, but if your not into that, then try some seafood, like sushi, I LOVE sushi, im just as old as you, but ur tall then me... FOR SURE, and trust me you will LOVE sushi, and if you dont like RAW sushi, then eat like a California Roll or something, here are some more things i sudgest:

    Sushi/seafood

    Pasta

    Noodle soups

some fast foods, like mcdonalds or something

and if you like shepherds pie, then try chicken pot pies, they are great!

but since you have eating disorder and u went anorexic im not sure you might like anything u suggest, i hope u like some of my suggestions

PS I DONT LIKE WaTER EITHER!!!!

  5. you should eat a lot of meats and drink alot of fruit juice

  6. Try using pictures of food already prepared to see if stimulate your desire for food.

You really have to do something about this. I would encourage you to look for professional help. Check some delicious food website, watch the food network. I know it works for some people. Maybe you will see something that will interest you and then, you can ask you mom to cook it for you.

  7. Please don't be frightened of trying new foods you can try a hamburger beans are good for you and they taste good too. You eat a lot of fruit how about veggies. I would also try eating rice not just potatoes. Not everyone likes water so they do similar things too. Try something new each day. If you don't like it try something the next day.

  8. Well, just tkae it slow and try a vegan diet

  9. I guess there is nothing wrong with eating the same food items everyday if that is what you like. If you are having trouble eating new foods because you are afraid of gaining weight, and you are only 11 years old, maybe you should consider professional help. Especially since you stated that you were once anorexic. If your parents are getting angry at you, may be you should tell them you need help. You are WAY too young to be worried about your weight like that.

  10. go out to the store(or get your parents to)get something new every week from the store and get you to try it.

or you could just force yourself to eat more >_>

  11. Lots of kids are like that.  Eventually you'll open up to tons of new foods.  I didn't like many kinds of foods at your age and I would refuse to try anything else then around 7th or 8th grade I could eat almost any kind of food put in front of me.  I believe the same thing happened with my sister.  Just decide on a type of food you don't like (Chinese, Mexican, whatever) and look at a menu and decide on one thing that looks good enough to try and once you find something you like eventually you will be open minded to anything in that category of food.  Try not to be so worried about it.

  12. Eating is one of the most wonderful experiences in life.  Really.  It's something you should do three times a day for meals and three times a day for snacks to maintain a healthy weight.  (Healthy foods and snacks, of course).

Because of all of the amazing veggies, fruits, and proteins available, you can eat six times a day for a year and never have the same meal/snack twice.  Think of the challenge, the fun and the adventure of trying something new!!

Make a game of it.  What new thing can I try today?  What can I add to my "this is great!!" list and what will I never eat again.   Try foods of other cultures.  You will be surprised at how much fun it can be to not only eat, but prepare the foods.  Try new restaurants, too.  Pizza, hamburgers, and other fast foods are probably some things you will never eat again.

  13. Babe you need to be open minded, the food is not going to kill you, if you don't like it, never try it again, but you need to stop being spoiled...Who does not like water?

  14. I think you should eat more food than just fruits. I mean not everything is going to make you fatter. And eating more can help you...you don't want to be anorexic. Just don't be scared eating food. Just try not overloading on foods. You should just enjoy eating foods. It won't hurt. Hope this helps a little.
