If You Block Someone On Facebook?

Is there anyway for them to know that you did? I have a nickname on facebook because there is someone in particular that I don't want to find me, but I would really like to change my name to my actual name so that people that know me can find me easier. Also, if that "person" does ask for a friend request and I reject the request will they know? Thanks?

Then that person can not post you any scrap and can not send a friend request.
