I honestly am a decent driver. Better then 2 of my 3 siblings that already have licenses. Every time (Out of two), I don't pass the driver's test. The first time I made the stupidest driving mistake in my life, in which I made a left turn at a intersection very late (In fairness, she told me to turn at the last moment), and I really panicked without processing that it was yellow when I turned into the lane. The rest of that test went fine but that mistake I guess was enough. Today, although, I really don't see why I failed. I made 2 mistakes. First, of all I got the same instructor I got yesterday. She's a ***** looking for a power trip, I know because everyone she got came back failed, while everyone else passed. So, at this point I'm in the car so nervous. I'm driving fine though, and she tells me to pull over for a downhill park. No problem, I practiced these like crazy. I go through a clear intersection to pull over (due to the fact, she once again told me as I entered the intersection). So I pull over and this is what she says "Do you know how to listen? I meant back there, and if you can't follow these instructions, you're not gonna pass the test." 'Woah, chill,' I think, biting my tongue. I do the downhill park perfectly and she pipes out a "That was good." So, she has me drive for quite a while and once again at the last moment tells me to take a left. I start to do so and I pull a little into the left lane, an obvious mistake on my part. She has me turn around the corner though in reverse, and that goes fine. At this point, it had been about ten minutes and I'm thinking 'alright, relax, you got this, just don't speed.' So she takes me through some residential and I'm naturally riding 20. We hadn't come to a street sign yet (I checked after, there were none till later down the road), and she starts yelling at me for going ten below. The rest of the time she has be drive around and I do excellent. She has me pull in and I think that I got this in the bag. I'm like, ok at least 90%. "Sweet revenge, *****" I manage to hold back. All the sudden, she says, "Well, you didn't pass." 'Wait, what the **** did you just say? You couldn't have driven much better yourself. One flaw was my fault.' God, I was ready to punch her.
That takes us to here. I've failed twice and am taking it again tomorrow, at a different DMV where I won't get stuck with this ***** again. What happens if I don't succeed tomorrow? After three fails, what is my situation. Hopefully this is moot but this is life and death for a sixteen year old. Thanks. By the way, I live in Illinois.
