  1. very probable. unless you get a lazy jailer who doesn't check. but that depends on the jailer. in the bigger cities they definitely do check. so unless you want to spend the night in jail, you'll just have to wait until your boyfriend gets out. also be careful of writing. your return address will be on that. my advice: turn yourself in. you'll be treated better

  2. YES, I went to visit my mom in jail and while there for 2 cops and 4 guards storm into the small "room" we sit in to talk to our love ones on the other side of the glass and arrest this dude, man his girlfriend was soooo pissed off she was all slamming on the window, it was the craziest thing Ive even seen.  And its not like he was some huge known crimnal, he just had a warrent.

  3. Please visit him we need to get you off the streets too

  4. I seriously would advise against it unless you plan to join him.

  5. Try it and let us know how it went.

p.s. We don't take collect calls.

  6. Hello Denise. Although this has been answered here, I want to add my little bit also.

I worked for a Sheriff's Department for 5 years. For about 2 of those years, I worked visitation. Part of what I did was to run wants and warrents while the visitors were upstairs.

As an average, I would find 6 to 10 people a day who had active warrents on them. I notified the front desk and when the visitation session was ending, we literally just waited by the exit door.

I identified the individual and they were arrested and brough to booking for the outstanding warrent.

I will add just a little bit more for you here also. An outstanding warrent does NOT expire. It will remain active until you either surrender yourself or you are stopped and detained.

Best advice would be to take care of this at a time of your own choosing rather than when you least expect it.

Best of luck and I hope this is useful to you

  7. I have to agree with Patrick.  You can visit him, but you will probably stay longer than you wanted to.

Make sure that you have someone to water your plants and feed your pets before you go.

  8. ALL visitors to a jail are required to sign in.  If they DON'T run your name, they are acting dumb.  Arresting you when you come to the jail is MUCH easier than finding you.

  9. Of course you could visit, but be prepared to join him. They ask for ID for an obvious reason: criminals aren't known for their intelligence.

  10. Naw, don't worry about it.

    Go ahead and visit.

    For a LONG time.

  11. Sure you can and you might get lucky and wind up in the same cell with your friend.

  12. If you have an Electric Bench Warrant out for your arrest, they will arrest you.
