If You Throw A Ball While Moving In A Car Will It Slow Down? ?

Say Your Driving Down The Highway At 80 MPH And You Threw A Ball Straight Up In The Air. Isn't True That The Ball Would Slow Down Due To The Air Resistance, In Turn Pushing It Backwards Some?

If you are in a fully enclosed car with the windows up, the answer is no.  The inside of the car, including the air is all traveling at 80 mph.

Now, if you were in a convertable with the top down or on a motorcycle or a biclycle, the the answer is yes.  The air would create drag and instantly slow down the ball.  Actually at 80 mph, you would lose the ball.
