I want to use voip, but when checking with all voip services, we apparently can't get a local number. So, if I signed up for a premium service like skype pro, so people could call ME using a regular telephone, what would be the telephone number I would give them? Would I have to get one in another area or what? Someone at Best Buy said that Vonage would give you a toll free #, dunno if that is true, and I also don't want to use vonage because they are too expensive. I wonder if this is true, and if so I also wonder if it is so for all voip companies, or if it is different depending on the company?

  1. then just use GrandCentral.com.....I did!!

there is so much stuff you can do with GC or any other VoIP provider....just customize what you what and need!

as for Vonage you have to pay for the virtual 800 ( toll free number)

why don't you use ooVoo.com its free and you can call land lines and cell phone totally free!
