If Your Dead "Asleep" in the Grave...How did the Saints get into Heaven?

I agree Michala...but i still would like to hear why there are some that believe our souls are "asleep" until Christ returns. If they believe that, how is it we have Saints in Heaven now?

I believe in facts. May I ask you where did you read that you have saints in heaven. I know Revelation speaks of 144000 going to heaven and I know it speak of death as been in a form of sleep,

If the bible say that 144000 is going to heaven. and Psalm 37: 9-11 tell us that people will remain on this earth. I don't understand your question, unless you are talking about Paul. Peter and John etc and call them saint..

Obviously the saints aren't in Heaven yet, or the sinners in h**l yet. That happens after the Resurrection.

<edit> Orthodox Jews for instance believe that there's no afterlife until the ressurection. If you read the New Testament, you'll see the early Christians believed the same thing. I don't belong to this church, but I think they're right on this topic:

if you are protestant, then you sleep and never wake up.  if you're catholic, then you go to heaven.

Let us not lose sight that Our GOD is the GOD of the Living and not of the dead.

Physical death does not exclude a person from GOD's presence, but re-unites them in Heaven.

Whether we stay in this physical body of ours - or we leave it, we are with the Lord and He is with us. So, there is nothing that may stop our prayers ascending to the Living GOD, for our brothers and sisters, friends and foes who are still on earth. We too, even after we pass away, are always alive and in the Presence of the Almighty Living GOD.

There are always exceptions to the rule, as with venerated Mary, Mother of G-d.  Pope Pius XII decreed her Ascension as a valid belief due to her exalted status and Immaculate Conception (born without Original Sin). The saints are with G-d due to their exemplary lives.
