  1. As a rough approximation, yes.

    For the typical alkaline battery about

    400mAhr capacity @150mA ==> 2.667hr

    350mAhr capacity @300mA ==> 1.17hr.

  2. Yes, in principle, but it depends mostly on the condition (age) of the battery and temperature. It is best to derate the amp-hour rating of the battery by about 5% to 10% if the application is critical.

  3. In the ideal case, yea. A battery is a chemical storage device, however, and there is a peak rate at which it will discharge due to limitations of the reaction and internal resistances.
