How would that go down with his Commanding Officers?

Would he be kicked out of the army? Would they tolerate him getting a conviction for Assault (ABH) on a female?

  1. He would be charged by both Civvy and Military Law. If he got time for it if it's longer then a couple of month he would serve it in a Military Prison. He would be Dishonorably Discharged for the Army and would never be able to work for a Government Agency again. He would loose all respect from his CO and his comrade's. No one likes a women beater, especially in the Army.

P.S it doesn't matter if you're on leave or in a Garrison town or whatever, you are a member of the British Army 24/7 if you break the law at any time whilst you are in the British Army you will be charged in a Military Court.

  2. as the UK is run on the Westminster system of law it is a civilian matter He can only be punished by CIVILIAN courts the British Military has no Authority to punish anyone for anything non military.

And depending on a  conviction and the gravity of the alleged assault the Commanding Officer may decide not to take any further action he may still be able to serve in the Army

Only in the  countries like USA do you get Double Whammy

Note Arron P is wrong as everyone knows recruits no nothing about the Military until they have completed basic training as a military instructor i am surprised he has said anything as a little knowledge is dangerous
