I got a ticket a few moths ago where my boyfriend was to one speeding. The boyfriend well ex boyfriend took off so the cop pulled me over. At first I was ok because I was only doing around 65 or 70 so I figured better me with 10 to 15 over than him with a reckless. The cop said he clocked me at 86 then he wrote the ticket for 94. I am trying to put a case together to show I am innocent. I have a video of the boyfriend admitting it was him but I want to show that the bike itself hendered the possibility that i was going faster than him. I was on the Ducati.

  1. How could the cop write the ticket out for more than you were doing?  Have you spoken to a lawyer as they will be the only ones who can really advise you.

Well obviously if you were racing and assuming the rider on the Kawasaki could actually ride then they should be in front, but proving that may have it's difficulties unless you had an unbiased witness.  The fact that things do not add up should be the job of your lawyer to prove that the  officer has booked the wrong bike.  The kawasaki zx-7r is a bike designed as a race replica bike so should be faster than a ducati which is not a bike designed for speed.  But I think you will need good luck with this in court.

  2. kawasaki cuz its pure race bike bred its based on a race bike weras dcati isnbt

  3. If your argument is that you on the ducati would be behind the Kawa, I would save the expense of a lawyer and just pay the ticket. Both bikes are more than capable of the speed on the ticket. as for who would win would depend on the Riders and the track/road. they have different handling and power characteristics. The Vid of your Boyfriend admitting the offence will be thrown out as he could have been coerced or tricked into a confession.

take the fine, then take the boyfriend to the track and find out who is quicker. beat him and make him pay the fine by promising not to tell his mates.  Good luck

  4. This sounds so ridiculous. You say you weren't racing but then want to say in court that if you were racing you'd be behind? thats a weak defense, and just subjective hearsay in my opinion.

The only way you could say one bike is faster than the other is under racing, or near racing conditions, there are too many variables in your situation to talk about which bike is faster. the variables being mainly, whether you were both actually racing, if one was racing harder than the other then it doesn't matter which bike is faster. How talented the riders are, if one rider is more talented than the other, or more courageous/stupid, then again it doesn't matter which bike is faster. all these things need to be consistent before you can justify anything with the paper specs of the bikes.

On paper the ZX will be faster. In a controlled environment this can be proved, your traffic offence did not occur in a controlled environment.

  5. Forget the CSI rubbish.Take it on the chin, the courts always go with the cops. The ZX-7R is quicker,it's a race rep.

  6. it is a moot point that you were racing against the Kawasaki or not. in the cop's eye's, you were racing. (read: exceeding the speed limit) that fact that he wrote you up for more is a point you'll have to make in court. get a lawyer and fight it... but in reality, you'll probably just get a lower speed struck on your record. you can fight it all you want, but it's your word against the cop's. IF you have a clean record (NO TICKETS) and you've gone thru a safety class, the judge might be sympathetic. if you've had tickets and no safety class.... i doubt you'll get off. and I wouldn't try to say"well, my bike won't even go that fast"..... it'll go that fast and you'll only p**s the judge off.... good luck. you might get off if the radar gun wasn't calibrated... the police have to release those records if you go to court. but if you got this a few months ago??? there is probably a bench warrant out for you. really.... good luck.

  7. Ah  yeah ! the Zx 7 if your saying their both brand new and the rider was the same person.  The ZX7 was built around the race bikes.  The ducati monster is a standard but its a "SPORT STANDARD"  because its also direvitive of race bikes.  Your excuse wont hold any weight in court as far as they are concerned its a motor-veahical   and you sighed the ticket so you are guilty.

  8. Just pay the ticket.

Sounds like the track is calling.

Strip both bikes of all road going kit and race as fast as you like on the track.

Safe / no cops / no mot's / no bad surface / no speed limits / no gatsos / ........ etc I could go on !

  9. h**l God WILL WIN COZ BOTH THE RIDERS WILL BE DEAD
