Question:

If a European Union is stronger than individual European states?

Wouldn't it make sense that if the United States were to form a political and economic union with Canada, would make for a stronger nation than having two separate states, also considering that both coutries are very much alike already.

  2. United States is the model upon which European Union is designed.  This is an economic attempt to be competitive with the global dominance of the United States.

    The Euro currency is the ideal example of the concept.  The difference it that each country has a different Government and political structure.

    The direction that would enhance the United States is annex of a 51st state.  Cuba or Mexico would be interesting.  Arable land mass is a very important factor.

    Canada is self sufficient.  Cuba or Mexico could be enhanced.
