  1. There's 3 different types of HDTV there 720p, 1080i, 1080p. They are all good but the best is 1080p.


  2. no, a HDMI port doesn't automatically mean 1080p. It just means that you can use a HDMI cable.

    Check the box specifics. If a TV is 1080p then they'll be sure to put it on the box as it is a big selling point.
