If a PETA member were driving down the road and a squirrel ran in front of them??

They will stop right in the middle on the road choking all the traffic behind them....get down see that the squirrel reaches the other side of the road safely,,,,and if they happen to see more such squirrels crssing around, they might block the road section and declare it a safety zone for animal conservation....

I just attended a celebration of the life of a neighbor who was killed in a roll-over of an SUV, her last words were "look out for that dog". The driver husband swerved, he lived, she died. PETA is an annoying group not even worthy of a joke.

Having taken professional-level driving lessons in anticipation of just such a scenario, the PETA member would brake and swerve, miss the squirrel, and convert the truck driver who pulled over to see if everything was okay.

You need to educate yourself about PETA. Yes, there have been zeolots who acted in the name of PETA, but the truth is PETA has done as much, if not more, than the Humane Society when it comes to working for animal rights and humane treatment.

Just as Dateline goes undercover to expose child predators, PETA goes undercover to expose the mistreatment of animals that are used for food, clothing, entertainment and such along with puppy mills, dog and c**k fighting.

They back up their claims of barbaric treatment with videos and expose these mistreatments for what they are. Much of what they expose is borderline illegal treatment which leds to getting things changed for the better in some cases.

Every group of activists is going to have zeolots who are extreme and undermine the real work of the group. Like the pro-life protesters who have blown up abortion clinics, thus killing the receptionist and such. A whole group should not be judged by the actions of a few.

Before you show your ignorance again, educate yourself about the real work that PETA does and the accomplishments it has made for the more humane treatment of domestic and wild animals. Unless, of course, you truly hate animals....

That would depend on their level of commitment-some PETA members are more casual and simply are interested in the fair treatment of animals. Others are extremists who would rather get in a head on collision killing a family of four then hit the squirrel. At times the heads of PETA have expressed their literal belief that human life is of no consequence when compared to animals.
