The Alaskan Independence Party is a political party in the U.S. state of Alaska. Its best-known policy is its call for a United Nations vote, which they claim should have been offered as an option in the plebiscite on statehood under international law.

At other times, party members have also proposed that the state explore the possibility of joining Canada. Other members have expressed opposition to joining Canada in its present form but are open to the possibility of joining an independent Western Canadian state in the event one should be established. Neither of these scenarios form part of the party's current platform.

current Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, the presumptive 2008 Republican Party nominee for Vice President of the United States, had been a member of the party in the 1990s, and had attended the state party's 1994 convention.[6][7] Palin recorded a message welcoming party members to its 2008 convention.

  1. interesting..........thats all

  2. c'mon, how could she have attended in 1994?

Surely she was too busy trying out for Ms. Alaska that year?.... which she was the runner up for FYI.

I think we both know that a beauty pageant takes presidence over the convention and politicking of any kind for that matter!  Beauty first, politics second!

  3. Interesting, but irrelevant.

Your post has nothing to do with anything.

    Terrorist? Where?

You dems must be really running scared to go to such  lengths to scrape up so called nonexistent "dirt."

"The platform of the AIP is, as one would expect, centered on Alaskan issues. Although it is widely thought to be a secessionist movement, the Party makes great effort to emphasize that its primary goal is merely a vote on secession, something that Party advocates say Alaskans were denied during the founding of the state."

Forget the YouTube, go to the website if you want the truth about the Alaskan Indepence Party:

  4. McCain made a mistake when he picked Palin.  Nothing to do with her being a woman....... it just seems like she brings more problems then high points to the table

  5. "You Tube" links and cutting and pasting.  Good job!

    Next!

  6. Well, I'd argue Bush was a terrorist, but yes, McCain managed to pick someone who harbored treasonous thoughts against the United States of America.     That's scary.
