  1. As Newton law states : "farts can be heard throughout the continuum of space." Very true. Hehe, funny question.

  2. If they are inside the cabin, yes, of course - assuming the astronaut hate so many burritos that the f**t is louder as the many fans and machines. The sound level in the cabin of the shuttle is over 60 Decibel on Orbit, even when you try to sleep.

When the astronauts are outside, in their space suits, the other astronaut won't hear it. The communication gear does only react to speaking and heavy breathing.

In the vacuum, there is no transmission of sound.

  3. No chance if you go out in space & try to play your guitar you can strum as much hard as you want but it won't be heard.

  4. No because in space no one can hear you f**t...or is that smell you f**t?

  5. aha!!! y dont u try it?? lol .... mmmmm lush

  6. they might5 if it goes over the com. system.

then thay would all be laughing their asses off

  7. If they are in the space shuttle it would be no different than farting on a airplane.  In a vacuum you would not hear or smell it.

  8. sound dosn't carry in a vacumne.but if he where able to directly f**t into the others ear canal then maybe but realisticly i can't see how this stunt could be sucsesfully carried out.

astronauts do have microphones in their suit for comunication but i don't know if that would pick up the sound.

why don't you and your friends get some old space suites and try it out : )

  9. no because there is no air and thus there will be no fluctuations in air pressure so no sound
