  1. trick question.

    20 dm is one dimentional.

    need more information.

    if you mean 20 dm^3

    it's a simple conversion

    20dm^3 *1m/10 dm *1m/10dm *1m/10dm =(20/1000) m^3= 0.02 m^3  per bag

    (or simpler 20 dm^3 * 1m^3/1000dm^3=(20/1000) m^3 =0.02 m^3 per bag  )

    then 1 m^3 / .02 m^3/bag = 50 bags.

  2. Asking how many decimeters ( 1/10 of a meter ) there are in 1 meter^3 is like asking how many inches there are in a quart.

If the question asked how many 20 cubic decimeter bags there are in 1 cubic meter, then we could say that there are 10 dm/m * 10 dm/m * 10 dm/m = 10^3 dm^3/m^3 = 1000 cubic decimeters per cubic meter.

To get the number of bags, we would say that there is

    1 bag / 20 dm^3 = 1/20 bag/dm^3

    1000 dm^3 * (1/20) bag/dm^3 = 50 bags
