  1. Its a foul ball as long as no player touches it.  although this is highly unlikely cause if it did hit the rubber it would not likely go toward the foul lines instead would bouce up or backward.

  2. Correct............Foul Ball !!

    Good question!

  3. I would think it'd be a fair ball... the pitching rubber is obviously in fair territory, so I'd think it would be treated the same way as a ball hitting a base and bouncing away

  4. MLB Rule 2.0, Definition of "Foul Ball", comment:

A batted ball not touched by a fielder, which hits the pitcher’s rubber and rebounds into foul territory, between home and first, or between home and third base is a foul ball.

So if the ball crosses one of the infield foul lines, it's a foul.

  5. Initial response was wrong...it is a foul ball if it is not touched.

  6. foul ball.

as long as no player has touched the ball, it must go foul before first or third base.

same as if a bunt starts fair and rolls foul

  7. it is a foul ball. if it hits the rubber it will go up or backwards and would most likely not go to foul territory. and if it did it would depend on if a player touched it. if a fielder touched the ball before it went foul then it's fair but if a fielder did not then it's a foul ball. if it touched a base runner it would be fair and the runner would be out. but if it hits the batter then it would be a foul ball. i believe thats correct
