It does NOT shoot into the air and stick on the ceiling.

When bats p**p they arch their backs back slightly and the excrement falls to the floor.  Bat droppings, Guano, is worth its weight in gold as the "best" fertilizer on the planet.  In a cave which contains a very large population of bats, like 40,000,000, the guano can pile so high on the floor it's like a small mountain.  Man harvests this super-rich fertilizer during the winter when the bats have migrated away.  

Realize that bats are among the most beneficial animals on our planet.  They consume "tons" of insects per night.  Think about that.  Tons of insects.  If it weren't for bats we would be overrun with insects and some flowers would go unpollinated.
