I bet you are talking "Barnett Shale".  In Arlington, most of the companies are paying you for the acreage you own and also for half the city street and any alley or whatever.  So figuring your area that you should be getting paid on is not simple.  You should start with your survey plat and work from there or hire a surveyor to help you.
