If a car was doing a 5.90 in the 8th what he be doing in the 1/4 mile?

What gear and what trap speed?  It sort of depends on gearing of the next gear or two.  I know for Subaru's I run high 11's but my 1/8th is higher than yours.  I have to check but I think I'm at around low 7's in the 1/8th

11.8 or a little over 12

8.5-11 seconds. It depends on the current speed, and the top speed that the car can reach. For all we know, the car could be at top speed at the 1/8th.

Keep in mind, the second 1/8th will be traveled faster than the first 8th.
