  1. Take them out of the public school. In layman's terms "unlist them"

  2. Why would you want to take a child out of school to be homeschooled??? I personally think the child is developing some key life skills by staying in a public school.. that they cannot get at home..

  3. take them out and home school them. you have guildlines to follow

  4. um just tell the counseler

  5. You basically take them out and tell them you are homeschooling. If your state requires something to be filled out they do that each October.

  6. It depends on where you live. Check out the Home School Legal Defense Association Web site ( http://www.hslda.org ). They list they laws for each state.

  7. Take them out of school and homeschool them and if they ask why tell them it's none of there bees wax.

  8. You just tell the school that you will be home schooling.  There are alot of home schoolers.  You can get information from the intenet.

  9. the school he/she is in now should have a counselor or secretary you can talk to about homeschooling. its alot of work to home school your child from what i hear, so good luck!

  10. I removed my son from public school right in the middle of second grade.  In Iowa, all I had to do was submit a form to the district office and notify the school I was homeschooling.

You do NOT have to have a discussion with the teacher, principal, or administration.  They have NO legal right to ask you for a conference prior to removing your child.  You do NOT have to ask permission from anyone.  This is YOUR child, always keep that in mind.

Google "homeschool laws" in your area.  Educate yourself on the law and the specifics of reporting to your district.  Good luck.

  11. In most states the parent simply has to withdraw them from school and write a letter of intent to homeschool to the school district, letting them know simply that you're going to homeschool now. In some states it can be more or less complicated. Just check your state's laws on HSLDA.org, or on your state's board of education website.

  12. I did this when my son was in third grade.I made an appointment with the school district and discussed with them why I wanted to homeschool my child and we filled out the paperwork and from that day on he has been homeschooled. There are many ways to homeschool.... your school district should have that information so they could provide it for you because you can homeschool thru the district or thru other programs.Hope that helped a little :)

  13. Every district is different; talk to a guidence councilor
