  2. i think a dual citizen, i believe it could accept uk and Bulgarian citzenship at 18 years old please consult an attorney (immigration).

  5. Scottish.

  6. It's "nationality" would be the country of its birth.

You are probably asking what its ethnicity would be.  In the case you describe, it would be half Scottish and half Bulgarian.

It would get even more complicated if the parents, themselves were of mixed ethnicity.  For example, if the "Scottish" father were actually half Scottish and half English, or something.

  7. Sottish.

  8. Registered in Scotland = Scottish.

  9. The child is Scottish.

  10. duel nationality

  11. If the child decides to take both nationalities then he would be both Scottish (British in terms of passports) and Bulgarian.

It's not true, as some are saying, that where ever you are born you are this nationality.  I hold two passports - one from the country of my birth and one from the country of my mother's birth.  On both these passports they list different nationalities.

In terms of form filling and that sort of thing, I vary which nationality I put depending on what type of form it is and whether or not I'll benefit from putting one before the other!

  12. British

  13. British according to the birth certificate, but I would hope they would grow up to call themselves Scottish.  If the child wanted Bulgarian nationality then the mother would have to register the birth at the Bulgarian Embassy/Consulate.

  14. The country of birth is what decides a person's nationality,

so a child born in Scotland is of Scottish birth regardless

of where the parents were born.

  15. Scottish/British

They could apply for a Bulgarian passport and be dual nationality if they pleased.

  16. Scots.

Although if the kid grew up to be a professional athlete he/she could choose either scotland or Bulgaria to represent.

  17. Scottish

It's where you're born that determines that

  18. Scotgarian, or Bullish.
