If a child under 18 or 21 is getting a greencard through a relative, do they have an interview?

The older child is 12 and the other is 8. And they are getting it through their father who is in turn, getting it through his father (the kids' grandfather).

  1. If they are the only person being petitioned, certainly they'll have an interview, depending on how much under 18 they are. At the very least, they need to make a personal appearance.
