Specifically undergrad admissions - the college I'm applying to recommends 4 years of foreign language, but I'm only taking 3. How badly will this hurt me (if at all)?

  1. Foreign language is very important now a days. You need to take a language class in community college over the summer and tell them you will. Then you will be fine. Or, take a language SAT in a language you know and score really high. Over 740 for your case.

  2. If they require 4 years, it will exclude you.  If they recommend it, it will be a strike against you, but won't absolutely bar you from getting in.
