Hi everyone,

I am working as a trainee for a comany in London, they have developed a training programme which is not paid, the recruited around 20 undergraduate and postgraduate students,

I would like to know if the government has any help for this kind of programmes that companies carry out EVEN IF THEY DO NOT PAY ANYTHING AT ALL.

thank you very much for your help

  1. All Companies (over a certain size) have to pay a Training 'Tax' ... if they run Training Courses (of whatever kind) they get a 'rebate' .....

Specialist Training Componaies run courses for other Companies (and for the Job Center etc) and will (of course) get paid (by who-ever asks them to run the course) .. ..

  2. I don't think, the government will pay any money to the company for this training programme. But the government as the regulatory authority may request the company to be a social corporate responsibility (CSR) company and set up such a training programme to make new graduates more employable when they come to the job market.
