If a company said they were "offering you the job" what does that mean?

They told me that...and then mentioned there will be some testing..what does that mean??? am I hired or what?

when i interviewed at best buy they told me the same thing. basically it means you're hired unless you fail the drug or background test.

Hello. Read between the lines. It means they are going to offer you the job as in, give you the job. Now its up to you to take it or not. Make sure the money is good and the hours are fine. Also, if your attending college, make sure they offer tuition reimbursement. Trust me, it goes a long way. And last but not least, good insurance.

yes yes you are! congrats!! they wanna do a criminal background check and they might give you a drug test too

It means they are interested in you. It does not mean that you are hired yet but its looking good so far.

placement, drug, if it is waiting tables they want to make sure you can do it first. Alot of places hire you but put you through test.
