For easy reference... The computer without any internet connection at all is Computer #1, and the one with a direct connection via cable modem is Computer #2.

I have no idea whether Computer #1 has a wireless card built-in for wireless internet capabilites. I want to, however, connect it to a network/wireless internet via Computer #2. Computer #2 only connects to the internet directly through a cable modem. If I were to get a router and hook it up to Computer #2's modem, would Computer #1 be able to join that network and use the wireless internet without a wireless card built-in? If not, how can I get this scenario to work?

  1. If you want a wireless connection on any computer, you have to have a wireless card if it's a laptop, or a wireless adapter if it's a desktop.
