  1. Yes... it means that the preservative in the solution are not working at its optimal potential... AND there may be some chemical structural changes to the compounds as a result.

    Your eye may react to the contaminated solution.. so yes toss the bottle and get a new one... get a smaller bottle.

    You should also be running out of solution WAY before expiration.... are you using it properly?


  2. It could! Because it is a disenfectant and because it is out of date the disenfectant would not work as well or at all! Therfore you are wearing dirty contacts. My optometrist has always told me its dangerous maybe get yours checked..

  3. It means it is past it's prime. For no more than the stuff costs just go get some more, we're talking about the health of your eyes here.

    contact solution isn't that expensive so it's better to be safe than sorry! just buy a new container :)

  5. The plastic bottle has worn down by the expiration date, making the contents inside more prone to contamination.  It's time to toss this bottle and invest in a new one.
