If you hit a cop car, you're in trouble. What if a cop car hits you?

Police departments have insurance. I bet you didn't know this. When an officer has a crash in a patrol vehicle they must have Hwy patrol to conduct the investigation and complete the report. When Hwy patrol has a crash, another HP unit can conduct their investigation and complete the report !

well I'm just guessing not really sure, but they would not give you anything besides a sorry or they would gather all this evidence to prove that in fact its not the cops fault but yours.

You should lay down in the seat and act unconscious til the paramedics get there.When they arrive and shake you then you should start screaming oh my back my back.

I was hit by a Florida Highway Patrol cruiser and the officer contacted headquarters.....His Sargent showed up and made the report.....I took the car to the dealer and that state took care of everything

The cop will tell you that the city's or county's insurance will pay for your damages.

The city would pay for all damages to the car(s).

same thing happens as in any accident. A report is made and it goes to the insurance company.
